ailbheIt is unutterably delicious to see them with each other. Emer helps Linnea hold the mayonnaise jar. Linnea helps Emer cut pieces of a magazine. They make sandwiches together or for each other. They bicker, and resolve things, and resume affectionate interactions.
I don't remember getting on well with my sisters at all, as a small child - and family lore tells that we didn't; the older three did up to a point but myself and my younger sister were pitted against each other by familial roles and operated on a playmates-who-loathe-each-other principle for about 15 years.
My children appear to have a relationship so far outside that I can't imagine how they feel. But it's beautiful.
