Things I love:

1. Rob


2. My chosen family, including the blood members


3. My cats


4. Reading


5. Dancing


6. Personal liberty

Things I hate:

1. Feeling unloved


2. The erosion of liberty


3. People who don't seem to know how incompetent they are


4. Pointless bureaucracy (some of it has a point!)


5. Lies (especially the ones I tell myself)


6. Emotional blackmail


7. Bullying

Things in my room:

1. Clothes rails


2. Chests of drawers


3. Too-soft bed


4. Bright yellow bedding with daisies on it, given to me by my sister, who loves me


5. White curtains with irises on them, made by my mother, who loves me


6. A tall skinny shelving unit


7. A pile of warm fuzzy wool jumpers given to me by my sister, who loves me

Things I want to do before I die:

1. Hang-gliding


2. Spend a month on holiday with Rob somewhere warm and interesting and rural


3. Have babies


4. Help babies grow up, preferably without going insane


5. Marry Rob, both for legal reasons and in front of as much of our family and friends as we can


6. Live in a really big house with a library like Henry Higgins' in My Fair Lady, sliding ladder and all.


7. Learn to swim, dance or sing

Things I'm glad I've done so far:

1. Started dancing lessons, even if everyone was a complete stranger to me and I'd never done it before


2. Loved Rob


3. Moved to the UK


4. Agreed to get a kitten. Now we have 3!


5. Bought my house from a lovely family


6. Negotiated with my mother-out-law


7. Decided I don't need to achieve anything other people think I need to achieve

Things I can do well:

1. Organise people, processes and events (except me!)


2. Dance, according to some other people


3. Cook


4. Edit


5. Reduce a recalcitrant cat to a purring furpuddle

Things I can't do well:

1. Interact with people I've never met before


2. Interact with authority figures respectfully


3. Tolerate fools gladly


4. Organise myself at home


5. Trust anyone but myself with my money


6. Resist criticising adults


7. Admit my faults
