"Knocked me for six"
Jul. 25th, 2009 10:43 amSomeone was on the radio today saying that this flu was awwwwwful and had totally knocked her for six, she'd been in bed for four days!
Er, I thought it was mild compared to normal flu, because on my fourth day of staying in bed I was able to get up for two hours.
Emer's chest is rattling and her voice is hoarse, but the paracetamol is working - and where oral paracetamol makes her gag and choke and get sick and fight and cry for ages, we gave her a suppository in her sleep and although she did wake it was only for a few seconds.
Linnea seems to be about nearly better.
I will not get up and scrub the bathroom. It would be stupid. But I really, really want to.

Quite. I suspect someone on the radio has never had influenza before.
