I shall call it Filthy Rotten Swine -Flu.
Jul. 23rd, 2009 09:10 pmBecause it makes me want to swear and insult people. It's like mildish flu, really, but crankier. And a lot hungrier.
This evening has been brilliant; I got up and had a bath, washed my hair, tidied handtowels and medicines into their new places in the bathroom, and Rob changed the bedding. Linnea had her Tamiflu in a spoonful of chocolate spread and Emer is coughing, flushed, hoarse, and cheerful.
We're all going to be fine, I feel this evening. Both children are very strong and healthy normally so we'll be grand as long as no-one tries to make Emer take oral medication.
Our friend made two separate trips from the other side of town today, for two separate trips to the pharmacies and lots of food shopping. We are so lucky.
And I thank all the gods from the bottom of my heart for the NHS. Our only financial worry was Rob's lost time at work, not that AND the cost of consultation and treatment.
