Housework and databases
Jan. 20th, 2002 11:30 pmFirst and most important, Rob has figured out what to do about the multiple authors problem. We need a table for books, a table for people, and a table for book-to-author relationships. Problem solved.
So then we rearranged the bedroom a little so that there aren't clothes all over the floor and the ironing board and the bed, and so that there's a little less junk lying around everywhere. The cat has started knocking things off the bedside tables.
Now Rob can see his clothes in the morning when he goes to look for them; they are no longer in a dark and shadowy corner where he has to stand between the light source and the basket of underwear. Plus, of course, we're going to get real chests of drawers soon, which will help a lot.
Then we did more washing up (us and Janice did a lot yesterday, but not all of it) and I made flapjacks. Then we did more data entry; I read the info from the books, and Rob keyed it in. My hands couldn't take any more.
Interestingly, our data entry forms are easier to use with Lynx than with Mozilla. We stopped entering data at 500 books, and decided to paint more wood so that we can put up more shelves.
We could only find one paintbrush, so I painted while Rob did more housework.
