Janice phoned, or maybe we phoned her, and she was going out to the second-hand bookshop to get rid of some books (including some I loaned her ages ago and refused to take back!) and wondered if we'd like to go. Of course! So she came 'round to our house first, while we finished entering data on the shelf we were working on just then.
Then we all went to the bookshop, and I managed to limit myself to 4 books, or £2 worth. They're dangerous places, damn you! You go in wanting only to lighten your load, and leave carrying more than you have shelving space for.
Then we sort of accidentally went to the second-hand charity furniture warehouse shop retail place.
They had a wing chair in the same fabric as my cute little one, perfect for Rob in the library. It's the wrong colour but I'm sure we can manage something. They also had two chests of drawers that will go nicely in the main bedroom, which should stop the cat from sitting on my clothes; I keep them in a stack of cardboard boxes now, and they make a nice nest.
