So I'm working through my preparatory material, and I start doing one of the exercises in pencil sitting on the bed. I get writers cramp after a measly 900 words or so. So I take a break and suddenly decide that I want to go public with this; I want to add a section to my ickle website for my OU exercises and assignments. I think I'm either procrastinating madly, or insane.

Query: If I put what I write up on the Wibbly Wobbly Web, am I facilitating cheaters, or something? Is there any good reason not to do this, apart from "That's so sad, man"? I like publishing stuff, it makes me feel like someone might read it one day. That's why my poems and so on are on the site. That's why I have a journal. That's why a lot of things.

I'm going to keep these exercises anyway - I have no urge to throw out my hard work, and I'm something of a hoarder. Does anyone care? Am I whistling in the dark? Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? Hello? He-

The only thing I can think of is that I know that anything which shows answers for questions which is put up on the OU community message boards is immediately removed by the community moderators. By publishing on the web you are allowing people with tutors other than your own to copy your work and pass it off as their own without having to expend their own effort and thought.

I can understand the desire to publish your stuff, but I think this is one case where it may not be entirely wise :-(
