I ache, am knackered, and have had a headache for a few days. Linnea woke crying and yelling at 6 am (very early for her) and was listless all day, ending up cranky and unpleasant. Emer is ok. No-one has a fever at all and we could all, eg, go to work and be crap and stupid all day and irritate people ("work through it").

Linnea and I are responding well to paracetamol, and Emer agreed to try some but didn't like it. I wonder if we can find the real-sugar version anywhere because she hates artificial sweeteners and that might help.

I napped in the front room while they watched telly and climbed on me. When Rob came home I went to bed. I am so tired.

The real sugar calpol is the one for under two months of age, in any Boots. If you're using a prescription, the GP has to write "no aspartame" on the script, and the pharmacy can source "Rosemont" generic sugared paracetamol suspension, as the NHS has black listed calpol for prescription.

Our tesco pharmacy now stocks it, and they are the only place I can get no-aspartame, with sugar, ibuprofen suspension too. Only available on prescription.

Goodness, no. If we were known swine flu carriers I'd be making that very clear. It just *might* be, like every sneeze for the past two months.

There's genuine oink down the road; a birthday party has been cancelled and Rob is baking a compensation cake for the two-year-old even as I type. One of 'em developed pleurisy and the others had a headache and flu-like symptoms but nothing major.
