Birthday party and thoughts

Well, I gave a party this evening for myself and Backy who lives nearby. It's a weekday, which probably explains why people were a little tired and quiet.

Since it's Halloween, I tried to be a little seasonal. There was a basin of apples, an apple on a string, and a pumpkin which a friend carved out for me.

Oh, I wrapped a few parcels for Pass the Parcel as well.

And everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Only, I didn't. I'm not sure why. Perhaps because I was giving a party for someone else again and no-one gave a party for me. Perhaps because I carelessly burnt the lamb joint so tha tit shriveled and there wasn't enough meat for everyone (I hate being a failure). Whatever. Rob has gone to bed and I feel too shitty to join him. Poo.
