A Day on the Town

There was a Christmas Market at the Odd Fellows Hall, given by our local C of E church. We went hoping to find books, but there were none. Instead, Mum bought us two jars of homemade jam - gooseberry and wholefruit apricot.

Then we went to the Farmer's Market, where Mum bought yet more jam, and Rob bought ham, and we looked at other things, and Mum bought her friend a lace bookmark, and we sampled some ginger ale which I'm definitely going to buy for Christmas. Well, it was ginger something.

Then we went to a good second-hand book shop and exchanged some books we didn't want for £4.50 in shop credit to buy more books. Then we went a-wandering and bought sausages inna bun from the sausage man.

In the evening, Janice and Emma came 'round and we ate dinner and played Trivial Pursuit. Rob won.
