New shoes

So the thing that might be rheumatism makes my knuckles swell, and my knees swell, but the expensive thing is that it's making my feet swell. My size six boots are all too small. I've bought a pair of size sevens and I guess I'll have to keep wearing them.

Meanwhile, our building work is going really well - the new roof is on, and it only leaked badly on ONE night while it was tarped, and we love our builder and all his workers quite madly.

Don't throw those tight boots away. One of your girls will grow into them shortly! I'm happy for you that your construction is going well. That is not always the norm.

I'll probably give my old boots to a friend. I tend not to throw things away!

The construction is going almost alarmingly well; I was a bit relieved when the roof leaked as it was so unsettling. I've never encountered such a nice builder before.

I need new boots. My feet have stayed the same size, but apparently my calves have expanded slightly!
