Tomorrow is twelve years since we bought this house, as far as I can figure out. Gosh.

Linnea was NINE on Tuesday (three days ago).

On Wednesday she balance-biked to the town centre and back, and I had the trike repaired and ordered some new tyres etc. That evening we put the pedals on her bike. On Thursday, we cycled - me on the trike with Emer and Astrid in the passenger box, Linnea ON HER OWN BIKE - one and a half miles to a fancy supermarket and the same back again. I wanted to choose a long enough trip that she'd have time to get the hang of cycling, but a short enough one that we COULD walk if we had to. It worked. She's keen and confident.

And today I cycled to the town centre. I feel SO MUCH LESS TRAPPED now.

Another recent change is that I've been going to bed far earlier. I got mindbogglingly, earthshatterlingly tired, and keeled over.

But Astrid's op is before the end of the month, and otherwise we're ok. I have a Mirena and have stopped bleeding to death all the time. The SUN has got its goddam HAT on. I'm not trapped at home because three kids are too many to trike around.

Hello, world.

Sounds good; I hope the Mirena continues good.
