I don't want to talk about how horribly awful I feel what with the last period and the Mirena insertion and the current ovulation. So I'm gonna talk about floors.

I originally wanted to get quality vinyl tangerine flooring from the front door to the kitchen, then apple green in the kitchen, and yellow in the rear hall and downstairs loo.

But now I wonder whether we should have yellow in the front hall and stairs and landing, and tangerine in the two "reception" rooms, and green in the kitchen, and yellow in the hall and loo... or green instead of the tangerine, because then there are more options for accent colours like my bright red dining chairs. And we could always have tangerine somewhere else?

And I don't know what colours to get in the bedrooms. Hospital green throughout, for calmness? surgical pink accent textiles for a pop of colour? praps not.

I think tangerine would be good in the front hall, (and maybe stairs and landing) because it could be a dominating bright colour, and colours to set off the furniture and paintings in other rooms
... Basically I expect you to want tangerine and red things and if the floor is already tangerine there's less space for them - I mean they show up less bright.
I may well be wrong.

I am no good at design but I LOVE yellow in a hallway, you walk through it so often and its so cheery. Although most of the places I have lived recently have had quite dark internal hallways.
