I know. We're in better shape than most, living in a farming community with land that we can grow food on - but our level of debt scares the bejeezuz out of me. I've cut everywhere I can think of, but our utilities, property taxes, transportation, and food basics just keep going up and up, so I can't see how we're ever going to get ahead. And everywhere I look someone's talking about food costing more - because of the drought, which is because of climate change... I *try* not to think about it - but I have been thinking about it a lot lately, because it's autumn, and that puts me into a "provisions for winter" mindset, so I can't really help it... I've stopped listening to the news on the radio (haven't watched tv in years)...
