At some stage in the middle of all this we had the kids' feet measured and bought them their summer canvas shoes. I had mine measured too.

I'm a 5.5H apparently. That might be why I can't wear women's shoes. But it gives me a place to start, anyway.

Oh. There is NO SUCH THING as shoe width in NZ shops. This is problematic.

I was an H or off the scale when last measured and it seems I now have wide feet with narrow ankles so unless I wear boots my ankles fall out of many shoes which is annoying. I greatly appreciated doc martens as they removed 90% of the stress from shoe shopping as a teen!

I'm probably going up to 6/7 when I'm nearer 5.5/6 and lacing tightly to compensate in docs although it's years since I bought any new and not given to me :)

I'm like my mum I think, very ducklike feet. QUACK!
