We're in hospital and may not be leaving tomorrow either. Astrid's condition has not improved and may not improve until she has her tonsils out. We're seeing the specialist tomorrow, we hope, and we will be closer to a plan then.

Until we have a much better plan than at present, it is not safe for Astrid to fall asleep outside hospital.

I saw Linnea and Emer today and we all five at the hospital canteen. It was lovely.

Rob's mother is coming to help babysit L&E while Rob is in the hospital with me & A.

We have lots of friends and lots of help, which is great.

We need it.

I hope the specialist can help come up with a sensible plan, and at least they've stopped you yo-yoing in and out. I'm glad you have help.

I'm glad you have plenty of help - use it! When DH was in hospital for months (C was 2.5) I was really touched at how genuinely friends did seem to be happy to help, and it saved us.

While I'm sorry you're going through this, and I'm sorry especially that A can't sleep safely outside, I'm glad they've finally admitted her and will be able to do something to treat the cause rather than just the symptoms.

Hang in there.

While being in hospital is unpleasant, it *has* to be less stressful than the in-and-out dance you've been doing? At least you know where you'll be for the next few days, rather than hours.

I hope it all goes well and that being in until Astrid is able to sleep better helps. My nephew had huge sleep/breathing problems for years (that noone would take seriously) and having his tonsils out was the best thing that ever happened, I hope if you go down that route it works as well.

Poor little Astrid! I'm glad they are making a plan, and at least you're in the place where there's an oxygen monitor so you don't have to be watching her breathe all the time in the meantime. I don't really do praying anymore but whatever I do instead, I'm doing it for you.
