WET

Astrid uses language with great competence. This morning she woke me by saying WET. She had removed her nappy and weed in my bed.

I'm air-drying the mattress now. Thank goodness she's well-hydrated and it doesn't smell much.

OTHER PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN WHO LEAVE THEIR CLOTHES ON. RARGH. JEALOUS.

Indeed, they seem to delight in doing that. My Boy's mother, aged about 4, once confused her father's lap with the lavatory (she was very, very sleepy, almost sleepwalking!).....
