Sick day

For several days now Astrid has been gagging on mucus and puking - on me, on my bed. We've been changing at least some of the bedding every day. Last night she didn't spew at all, but she's... differently ill. And of course with an ill baby we haven't kept on top of the housework, because we're laundering bedding all the time.

So I've spent today cleaning. I started by tidying my bedroom, so I could get dressed. Then I scrubbed the kitchen draining board and unloaded the dishwasher onto it. Then I reloaded the dishwasher and ran it. Then I scrubbed the kitchen sink, half sink, basket, taps, and the washing up liquid bottle.

Now Astrid is sleeping, and she seems less feverish. I'm trying to think what to tackle next. I think getting the kitchen really, really clean is key. My poor crumbling hands!

After that there's a front hall full of stuff to give away; bags of maternity things for over the road, a sackful for charity.
