If anyone local would like to drive me to an IKEA (I'm told the Bristol one is easiest to get to) in return for petrol money and a meal while there, I could buy teeny weeny wardrobes for our new bedroom layout and have them delivered within a week. Or I can buy them online and have them delivered within a month or so, which is also fine. I just thought I'd ask.

Would the Croydon or Wembley one not be easier/cheaper?

I need to check and confirm, but I think we're coming down to Reading/Wokingham on the weekend of 22nd/23rd. Conceivably we could get stuff on your behalf in the Bristol IKEA and bring it to Reading with us, since we're coming anyway? I will check, though, because we might be in Devon instead...

Oh, so they likely won't fit in the car - it's a beast of an old Citroen but we need the back seat to put the baby in, and I doubt we could get them in the boot. Oh well! Plans allowing we'd love to come and say hello anyway (or indeed some other time if plans don't allow, Reading's an hour's direct train for us so it's easy enough).

You mean local to Reading, right, not local to Bristol?

just read this, maybe we can borrow Ruth&Jon's car? Mine definitely won't fit 2m of wardrobe (we just squeaked 1.8m of MDF in for a v uncomfortable 5 mins)
