Got up, felt hellish, body violently rejected mooncup, cramps, misery, misery, cramps. Rob brought the girls to swimming, I tidied up. Found dining room (he hoovered the rug, yay), kitchen, bathroom, front and rear hallways, most of front room, then Rob's parents arrived. Swimmers returned, we ate lunch, then left the kids with their grandparents while Rob and I went to the shops. We combed the charity shops and eventually found 12 drinking glasses for a total of £2.70. I have tried recycled glasses before but they are too brittle for a house with small children. They need responsible grownup drinkers. So second-hand it is. We couldn't find 12 the same - I did once but I think it will never happen again - but got a set of 4 in each of 3 sizes, so they'll do well enough.
I have a bit of a thing about matching tableware.
Anyway, then we came home and Rob cooked a roast chicken dinner including roasted celeriac. Yum. We had wine, because we were eating to a prolonged accompaniment of whine from overtired, overexcited, under-exercised children. And then as the grandparents were leaving Maria came over and we drank ginger beer and I did three paintings of swirly blueness, which are at http://artbyailbhe.me.uk/.
I don't think we did anything else this week. I've been feeling rotten, mostly. Rob and I both forgot Valentine's Day. Again.
We had a nice walk together in the rain today though.
