Recent achievements

I bought shoes for all three children. Astrid and Emer have Clarks shoes, in standard width-fittings, and Linnea has her first pair of trainers. They're sorted for winter now, basically.

I also bought new shelves - IKEA EXPEDIT units. Now the front room looks like a proper library again (also) and I've repurposed my favourite Trofast unit to be my art drawers. I've been painting up a storm and think there should be more autumn around in general.

We still haven't managed to get to True Food for our main grocery shopping. It's a long trip with three children, and it was Rob's birthday at the weekend so we didn't go then either.

The house is coming together. We need to get cracking on the back bedroom - the first thing is to empty it, I guess, and then strip the wallpaper. We don't want to be doing things to that room after the cold weather hits, so it had better be soon.

We also hung five Venture portraits of us and Linnea from when she was about one ish. We had already hung two of three from when Emer was about that stage, so there's only one more to do - and we have other photos including Astrid to print, frame and hang. I'm looking forward to it.

This morning I brought Linnea to the doctor to be told that she just naturally has large tonsils, and Astrid to the nurse for THREE injections. So she'd better not die of any normal childhood illnesses now, that's all. She was VERY ANGRY with the nurse and wanted me to DO SOMETHING, afterwards; she was pointing at the nurse and talking crossly in babble.

I have a Big Plan for painting the door of the kitchen and Rob has bought masking tape for me to help. Wish me luck.
