The laundry is a problem, as ever; we came home to three sets of single bedding, one double, one kingsize, all needing to be done, and rapidly added a set each of single and kingsize to the pile. There's a load of towels on now, and I'm not sure what comes after that...

I've moved the furniture in the front room because I realised that Astrid is a toddler now, with walking and climbing as her main means of locomotion, and she needs to be able to look out the bay window like the others were. As a side effect we seem to have more floorspace, so that's good.

More shelves should arrive on Friday, and another pantry basket.

I did another painting last night, and am very pleased with it, but want to charge a HUGE amount of money for it, because it took ages to plan and was a significant experience to create, among other things. Emer calls it Secret Leaf because of the colours. I have nowhere to keep it and can't paint another until it's off the easel, boo.

Linnea has taken her library overdue notices and found almost all the books on them. Checklists work for this child.

We need to eat lunch and then go to storytime at the library, because we met Marjorie on the very last train home on Saturday and promised her we would.

Clothes

I had a handmedown cardi which I gave to the charity shop after wearing it to the library today; it itched. I also have a couple of brown tops which don't work with my new improved bust or the trend for low-waisted trousers, so I must remember to charity shop those too.

Clothes are a constant trial. I don't like shopping for them, especially trying them on, and I seem to have trouble working with my current shape so I can't tell which of my existing clothes will fit properly. Laundry works so that my clothes are the lowest priority and autumn means neither my summer nor winter sets work properly for me.

I have tons of clothes but nothing to wear. I guess that's about par for the course. Yay.
