One of *those* days. I was awake before six, mind you, I just haven't actually woken up yet.

I did hear the bin lorry and leaped out of bed to drag the recycling wheelie bin through the house so it could be emptied; I expect wrapping paper to arrive shortly, you see.

It's a struggle to drink my coffee, let alone anything more complicated. I've managed to put all the bread-baking gear from last night's batch in the dishwasher, and both children have been fed and changed, and I'm dressed, after a fashion. I'm almost at the stage where I think I could have a shower without falling over, which would help a lot.

Emer thinks the poppy-seed bread has brinkles on, and asks for it, but won't eat the crust. Hm.

+ I got the rubbish out - the recycling
= The publishers can't afford to do anything this year, and are looking at about two years, so I have lots of time to choose a collection. I may self-publish another meanwhile.
- I am exhausted and in considerable discomfort.

+ Emer got a birthday card from the Meeting
- The development at Bath Road Reservoir seems to be trying to get going again, we got planning office bumf today

+ I did two loads of laundry
+ I ate a lot of excellent bread
+ I had marvellous coffee
+ I had a nectarine
+ I handwashed three silk tops and one silk skirt, to wear for looking lovely when required
+ I had a splendid shower and wore clothes I liked and remembered a necklace (a habit I'm trying to cultivate) and tried on some ten-year-old makeup (ok, though a bit annoying. Glad I didn't use any foundation or powder or anything).
+ A friend had good news about her suspected cancer - it's real, but the NHS can deal with it relatively simply, and will
+ A friend and neighbour came to dinner
+ Another neighbour saw me at the door and stopped me to ask how we all were because they heard I had been ill
+ Rob is making flapjacks and cakes for the birthday party
+ We have pink and purple balloons, as requested, and I've made pink and purple paper chains, and we happen to have a pink and purple tablecloth
+ Only 39 hours to the party!

... which is unsurprising, really, given that I've had three pulled out recently. I dreamed the next one along from my big wisdom tooth came out, and looked healthy (though oddly shaped).

Then another one came out, and my gum started to bleed. And then more came out, stuck together in lumps with chunks of gum - and the bleeding got so bad my mouth filled. I was drowning in my blood.

Knitting

Inspired by String Revolution, I have almost finished an object. I have knitted and stitched together all the pieces of a short-sleeved long-bodied striped cardigan for a little girl. Now I need to work the ends of yarn away tidily and put buttons on it.

And a girl in it. But really, not tonight.
