I started the day by cleaning up catsick. Yippee!

However, I have also chosen to wear one of the dresses I got from a neighbour's "never gonna fit again" stash of clothes, which is amusing me because it's a style I would never, ever choose for myself. I haven't decided whether I like it or not.

Emer says I have big long legs. It's not often anyone thinks my legs are long.

And I'm sick to the back teeth of it
Because it is bitter
And because it is my heart.

(Stephen Crane, I think, ish).

Anyway, my back teeth are all oozy and yuk, though that COULD be the - oh this is good - mint and aniseed mouthwash. The children have spent the day turning random scraps of paper into much smaller random scraps of paper.

I'm going to have a coffee and read a book about paper.

There's another new post at http://www.string-revolution.com/ and I am fighting the urge to dig out my yarn and start yet another project which I will never ever finish. I suppose the trick is to think of something I actually want to make, and make it.

I did realise that I could sew things out of hideous clothes from charity shops, like that thing people do with second-hand jumpers only with sewing, and I'd probably really enjoy doing that. If only we didn't all have FAR TOO MANY CLOTHES ALREADY. Perhaps the thing to do is to make things for child sizes my children haven't attained yet. But where's the instant gratification in that?!

Perhaps the thing to do is to replace my sewing machine with one which can handle denim without making scary noises, and start having jeans which fit.
