Back at work
Nov. 5th, 2007 11:14 pmI did almost a whole day's work, and didn't actually buckle at the knees until after 5.30 pm. I started off slowly but eventually got out with both girls. After waiting for a train Linnea had more or less gone back to normal after a long weekend of Daddy and Farmor instead of me.
Linnea had nursery in the afternoon, so I got her to that, went home again for her bloody bag, which she didn't need, and to Emer to the library. Our library has been given a Lottery grant and will soon have the old building repaired, and a few additions - a cafe, toilets, babychange facilities, proper meeting rooms, etc.
Went home, changed Emer's nappy, fell asleep on the couch. Oops.
Picked Linnea up, went to the supermarket, got very wobbly, wobbled into McDonalds and almost fell over, bought as little as possible to rent seats, called Rob, got rescued.
Came home, went to bed. From bed, I did quite a lot of the packing for our holiday, and directed Rob to do the parts I couldn't reach. Laundry permitting, it should all be done tomorrow night.
Tomorrow will be easier, because Linnea won't have the excitement of a different level of discipline to deal with. I'm not sure I'll make it to the market at Downshire Square, though, which is a shame. Triking uphill takes a lot of puff, and I am a puffless wonder lately.
What DVDs do you think we ought to bring on our holiday? How about books?
And, of course, what toys? Not that they need much, but I think probably they'll want something. One hard and one soft doll/teddy, probably, and a set of bricks, or stacking cups, or something.
