Two days and no update, onoes.
Apr. 7th, 2007 09:16 pmI have been wearing two nursing dresses lately and liking them very much. Someday I will change my clothes because they're slightly grimy, and not because someone has just hicked up all over them from one end or the other.
Yesterday in the Workhouse I met a woman I'd previously (over a year ago) met in the John Lewis breastfeeding room, where she was feeding her twins and I congratulated her and we talked about reflux and feeding and I did a certain amount of "you can do it". She'd also spoken to Rob about the trike outside Waitrose. Anyway, she's still breastfeeding her 15-month-old twins, so I asked her to come along to the support group, because she has experience of (fairly mild) reflux as well as feeding two at once, feeding after a c-section, etc.
Alison trimmed the back of my hair (with care and attention to detail which greatly impressed me) and it now looks fine, except that without the weight dragging it down it's inclined to float outwards a bit, especially where the second crown is trying to assert itself. Showering is much, much more pleasant with short hair - a combination of the lack of weight, and the sensation of water actually reaching my scalp, and not worrying about whether it's all rinsed clear or not.
It's spring! Today we did some errands in the trike and afterwards sat by the river. First I sat watching Emer nap, and Rob and Linnea fed fresh bread to the swans, and then Linnea and I sat and made a daisy-chain while Rob listened to Emer napping. Then everyone played "Going on a Bear Hunt". While out, we met various people - two sets we know because of having a child Linnea's age, and one we know because of having a child Emer's age.
Backup plans for the birthdya party proceed apace; all we need now is permission to have it in the park.
