Day of Attainment

Dishwasher emptied and filled and run again, Emer registered with a GP, two babygros for Emer bought in local charity shops, another fleece jacket for myself bought in a charity shop (one to wear and one to wash! hurrah!), my reserved library book collected from the library, a load of nappies hung on the line and rescued before it rained - they are just about dry so I'll hang them indoors for a few hours and then they'll be fine - and there's another load of laundry waiting to be dried. And at least one load of dry laundry waiting to be put away.

And we all ate the proper meals at the proper times, and there's Somekindof Soup for dinner.

Linnea very much enjoyed giving her library ticket and book to the head librarian, and I managed not to slap her when she was snide and patronising to a couple of Asian (meaning Indian or Pakistani or something like that) women. They banged a door when leaving the baby clinic room with a crying baby and a buggy. Those doors are on springs so they DO bang, and you have to hold them open with one hand, push the buggy with the other, and try to grow your arms so that you can manage the whole trip. They are also excessively ugly and badly painted, with horrible cheap glass panels. This ridiculous woman had a go at them for banging the door, and then said "I hope YOU have a lovely door like that in YOUR house!"

Yes, this is the "people like that" librarian. I really hope the older Indian woman didn't have enough English to understand her, but I'm afraid her tone needed no translation.

I need an icon of self buggy-pushing. And somewhere there must be a photo of myself and both daughters with no breastfeeding, isn't there?

Mind you, even this one, which I tagged "library", is of me tandem feeding. I think I must look snappable when I'm feeding. Perhaps it's the grin.

Edit 16:57: Emer's passport arrived today. It has a barcode.
