Hang damp laundry, two one load
Go to GP and get Emer registered
Call dentist and make appointments for self and Linnea, and maybe Rob as well
Go to bank and get birth certs photocopied and certified to open accounts for E&L (not today, I think)
Find a clean hairbrush and brush hair properly
Email sister (find her address in my phone)
Assemble containers for making shakers for ERAPA on Friday - eggboxes, plastic tubs, not sure what else.

Already done:
Dressed
Ate toast; fed Linnea toast
Emptied dishwasher
Cleared kitchen counter (so that I could make toast)
Changed some nappies
Read LJ and email (still not getting comments emails, bah)
Ordered groceries and loo roll
Make lunch for self and Nea
Put away dry laundry, quantity unknown
Put on dirty laundry, at least one load
Hang damp laundry, two one load

Hanging laundry on the line caused the raingod to notice us, so to salvage the day I sent Linnea out to play wearing wellies, a nappy, and a long-sleeved tshirt. She's now very very sandy and wet, playing in soapsuds in the bathroom sink. She had a fabulous time.

Rice Dream

This brand of Rice Milk comes in two main varieties - Original (with added calcium) and Organic (without added calcium). Both cartons have breakfast recipes on the back.

Original has a recipe for chocolate milk (pour Rice Dream into glass, add chocolate powder or syrup, stir) and pancakes (fairly heavy, half wholewheat flour).

Organic has a recipe for "Café" au lait (heat Rice Dream in a pan, add barley coffee-substitute, stir) and crepes.

We now refer to them, in this household, as "posh" and "pleb".

On Friday we went to John Lewis to buy me/us a new laptop. I've been using Rob's old laptop (Powerbook G4 12") and it was getting silly - only works when plugged in, even when plugged in dies for no reason all the time, incredibly slow. He's been using his work laptop, which is how he operates by default anyway, so that's ok. We were going to get the MacBook that's £750 but there was an iBook G4 14" for under £700 so that's what we got instead. It's still specced way above what I need (I can listen to music AND run Firefox! At the same time!) and also, it works. Even without the power cord in, so Linnea can't damage the connector.

On Saturday we went triking, and in Matalans we found a fleece jacket that zipped down the front, closed over my chest, and cost less than £70 (it was a tenner). Now I have a coat I can wash overnight when someone sicks on it.

Also on Saturday we ate out, at a place called Ma Potters, where the food was mediocre and the service no better than average. I even made a point of asking first whether they could accommodate a dairy-free diet. To be fair, they didn't poison us, but they did manage to find a pizza Linnea refused to eat.

On Sunday Rob and Linnea went swimming, and I stayed in bed cluster-feeding Emer. She also threw up hugely. Sure enough, today she's been sleeping a lot. She's growing. Again. Turns out that although we have loads of clothes for the next size up, none of them are warm enough for September; Linnea was an April baby. I'll have to trek into town soon and run errands including buying babygros (I refuse to buy outfits for a 7-week-old who is growing like a weed). Luckily we have bazillions of vests/onesies.

Today we did dancing, drawing, eating, feeding, sleeping, Maisy on DVD, getting very very rained on while not wearing much at all, washing, pat-a-cake, singing, and building castles.
