I put the baby down!
Sep. 27th, 2006 11:56 amI slung her in the sling for 2.5 hours so far today. She's a carrying monster. Linnea has been watching telly since 11 am because I had to change her dirty nappy while Emer was in the ring sling and telly was the easiest way to get her to lie still and allow me. As soon as I've decided what's for lunch, though, she and I will lock ourselves in the kitchen and prepare it. Emer is sleeping on the beanbag beside me, still partially wrapped in the sling.
I ache. We still haven't found the piece of pink paper we need to register Emer with a GP, but the phone has been hopping today. Friend H three times, to arrange a meetup, cancel, and then arrange something tentative for next week. The health visitor about registering Emer with a GP, but they don't think they have the piece of paper either. And someone else. Oh yes - I called A about getting a lift to the ERAPA HE group meeting this evening. That reminds me, I should call the pub we're meeting in to see if they do dairy-and-soya-free food. I'm planning to eat dinner at home anyway, so it's not that important, but it would be nice if my evening snack was a dinner instead of half a loaf of bara brith.
We had eggs yesterday. The day before we ate out and had baked tato-an-tuna. We had pancakes for breakfast today. There's potato and mayonnaise for salad... we shall see.
