Banners and Mother's Day

Yesterday we made a banner, because the candlelit vigil wans't very well attended and we feel that we ought to make it more noticeable next time. It says "Democracy does not come in tanks" and Rob drew us a nice simple tank silhouette.

Neither bunch of Mother's Day flowers arrived on time from Interflora.

Last night we watched Enemy at the Gates, which we thought was excellent. It was interesting to see something from the Russian point of view, even if it was very very fictionalised. The ending was a bit tacked-on-for-the-test-audience in feeling. I want to own it on DVD anyway.
