To Do Lists

Done:

  • Listening to preparatory material tape for OU. It's all poems and singing. Apart from "Where have all the flowers gone", it's great. Is this supposed to be work?
  • Some of the laundry and some washing up
  • Sort out schedule; we have a wall-planner, an online schedule, and we each have an electronic and a paper diary. This is ridiculous. Decide on mastercopy and make sure everything is on it. Then decide on what to put elsewhere. Gah.

To Do:

  • Sort out job applications; I need to bring notes to the interview at the Job Centre on Thursday.
  • Prepare for first Open University assignment
    • Read what it is, dammit
    • Read "block 1" section of OU books
    • Watch the TV program I successfully taped
  • Do housework
    • Put away two lots of laundry, hang out the lot going mouldy in the machine, and put another lot on. Repeat ad infinitum. How do we generate this much laundry?
Note: Have reduced laundry to capacity of laundry basket. Rob's clothes average three times the volume of my clothes. Why?
    • Clean the stupid cooker.
    • Undecorate the house; Christmas is over and so's Nollaig na mBan (not that anyone noticed).
    • Thank Rob for consistently taking care of the boring, boring washing-up.

University

So I'm working through my preparatory material, and I start doing one of the exercises in pencil sitting on the bed. I get writers cramp after a measly 900 words or so. So I take a break and suddenly decide that I want to go public with this; I want to add a section to my ickle website for my OU exercises and assignments. I think I'm either procrastinating madly, or insane.

Query: If I put what I write up on the Wibbly Wobbly Web, am I facilitating cheaters, or something? Is there any good reason not to do this, apart from "That's so sad, man"? I like publishing stuff, it makes me feel like someone might read it one day. That's why my poems and so on are on the site. That's why I have a journal. That's why a lot of things.

I'm going to keep these exercises anyway - I have no urge to throw out my hard work, and I'm something of a hoarder. Does anyone care? Am I whistling in the dark? Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? Hello? He-
