Self-care at home:
Eating: She can get her own muesli, milk, drinks and so on. She doesn't make toast - but she rarely eats it either, so there's that. She chops the bell peppers for Rob's bolognese as often as not, and other veg too. She's still on toddler cutlery. She is getting much tidier in her eating and strews far less on the floor, which is nice, as she has a baby sister who strews plenty. She can take a step to the fridge and fetch herself a snack, and does. In all these things, she strongly - sometimes very strongly - prefers to have a parent on hand to help.
Dressing: She can dress herself except for some zips and shoelaces. She can do tights, even, which I think is pretty advanced dressing. Tights are hard.
Toileting: She's totally competent and rarely needs any kind of help - sometimes high toilet seats, or particularly difficult flushes, and if she can't reach the sink she will ask to be lifted, but she can basically undress, use the toilet, wipe, re-dress, and wash her hands without parental assistance. I LOVE THIS.
Washing: She can't stand having her teeth brushed, especially since her dentist visits, but she's good at washing her hands and fingernails. She's nowhere near washing her own hair yet and needs a lot of help if she's washing in the bath rather than just letting the dirt fall off into the water.
Helping at home: She is helpful by nature, at least at the moment, and can fetch things, put things away, and put the detergent in the washing machine or dishwasher. She likes washing floors and drying them, but isn't good enough with a dustpan and brush yet to enjoy that. She has lost interest in laying the table, except for special occasions, but will help to speed up the food-getting process.
Playing at home: She likes to play with other people - me or Astrid or Linnea or friends - and when other people aren't available she plays with doll-type things. She likes to make Lego to a set of instructions, and play other games where she follows instructions or guidance of one form or another. Possibly this is because of being constantly bossed about by Linnea, but possibly not.
Playing outside the home: She likes dressing up, drawing and colouring, running, swimming, and Playing Families.
Listening and talking: She is very good at taking in what is said to her, and can easily focus on the person addressing her. She can usually express what she wants to say, too - again, she finds it easy to focus on one thing at a time and then go back to something else. She doesn't seem to hyperfocus at all, which makes her the first person in the family to not-do that. She's shy to strangers but does talk to them and they mostly seem able to understand her.
Reading and writing: She has a pretty good grasp of most of the alphabet and is definitely interested in learning to read. She also likes to write, and I think is likely to send us lots of letters when she starts writing.
Drawing and making: ALL the drawing and making. Watercolour painting, pastels, markers, crayons, biro, Fimo, playdough, plasticine, Lego, allofit. Her technical skills are progressing nicely.
Counting and manipulating numbers: She isn't as interested in this at the moment as she sometimes is; she is beginning to grasp place value but is still vague on it, and she gets confused when counting above 12 or so - there should be three-teen but isn't, that sort of thing.
Sleep: She needs her sleep. Bedtime itself can be tricky, but she likes to go to bed when she's tired and she likes to get 10-12 hours a night.
