How to tell I'm living with the right person

It's a song of no significance to him but some to me, and he played the Best of the 80s album on purpose for me.

I expect White Wedding will come on soon, which is about the only thing I REALLY wanted to make sure was played at my wedding, as it was the only consolation for wearing a white dress. Well, apart from not having to think much about what I was wearing.

In August 2008 I danced at DWCon with Gideon and Linz and Uwe and Ali and people, until Rob sent security to find me because Emer was crying. There must be some way I can find all my favourite people and dance to 80s music with them in the middle of the night more often than every two years or more.

Nostalgia is addictive. And makes me feel very young. How peculiar.

(I wonder what happened to the incredibly bright silk harem pants?)

Was it really that radical of me to refuse to wear a white dress to get married in? (It's blue-green and was nicknamed the mermaid dress by a friend).

No, I know lots of people who wore colours for their weddings. It's fairly commonplace now. So's white, of course. But it would have been Yet Another Issue at my own wedding, and I had enough already; not changing my name, not permitting video recordings; not having set speeches; not inviting cher papa...

Ah, yes, I get it. Apparently we created a lovely enough experience that his nanna didn't realise until half-way through the reception that there'd been no rings, but yeah, I get it. (And mail from that side of the family for me is addressed to Mrs HisName. Grr.)

Heh, we figure it was a success because although it was pretty stressful for us, the guests are still remarking on how nice it was when they meet each other 6 years later.

And we sorted out the Mrs Hisname Hisname thing with a huge hissy fit and an ultimatum. And, um, I don't wear my ring when his parents come or when I'm pregnant. I like it the rest of the time.

I LOVE dancing with lots of people to 80s music and never get to do it often enough.

That was a great night. My favourite part was when we decided you couldn't dance to Bohemian Rhapsody - so we became a choir instead.

I did bellydancing on a chair, didn't I? And then we had to get rid of a creep. That turned out to be easy. Someone took him off to introduce him to Brian.
