Rob was on call this weekend, and Linnea was ill - she had a sore throat and on Friday sounded incredibly hoarse; she kept speaking just to hear how weird her voice was. And we were all tired and under the weather.

So we had a weekend kind of "off". I went out on Saturday afternoon, for 90 minutes or so, and went into lots of shops alone. Even Astrid stayed at home. I was looking for a sketchbook - I really want a Daler Rowney sketchbook with Blue Wave cover, in landscape format, A5 or smaller, and they no longer exist; I kept diaries in them in my teens though.

But I found lots of shops, and bought a couple of new pallettes, and some paint, and discovered which shops do not stock a suitable sketchbook, and I am going to go to Hobbycraft next weekend, if possible, and see what they have there (this could be tricky, as Rob's family are coming over on Saturday and Sunday is all booked up, but I can try). Lucy came over later and we all did art.

I have decided that I need to practice drawing; to this end, I have done a few careless and bad sketches in my big A4 sketchbook, which I was saving "until I deserve to use it," which is nonsense. We have also arranged more and better storage for my painting kit, but I think we're basically stuck with the "taking up a corner of the dining room" setup for the foreseeable.

Today we didn't go to Meeting. Rob had a chunk of eight hours' sleep all at once, and another hour before that, so that was fabulous. I had a fair bit of sleep but since I was the one awake with Astrid until 2am not as much as he had. Today we took delivery of a second-hand Antilop highchair and agreed to get rid of our East Coast one (so Rob cleaned it, yay Rob!). We had visitors and gave them a painting.

We need to call the mortgage people and negotiate a higher payment so we might one day be able to take a payment holiday. We need to decide on new chairs to buy. Tomorrow I need to take three children grocery shopping again.
