Rob, bless his antibacterial cotton-mix socks, is not asleep, technically, but is sort of falling asleep on his feet. He's up since 6am or so. But he's not going to bed yet, he has left voicemail for me on the scary voicemail machine on the crisis line.

When I was suicidal and wanted to be that way, I don't remember anything that helped me. Going to sleep sometimes helped, if it was the time of day that sleeping would be appropriate, which the timestamp suggests might be for you.
When I was not particularly suicidal, but was having disturbing intrusive thoughts (so anytime anything went the slightest bit wrong, the voice in my head would say "oh, you should just kill yourself, then"), I found that saying "that's not an acceptable choice; pick something else" every single time was helpful over the long run.
I'm glad to see your later post and it looks like the crisis has passed, but if another one comes up, you can email or Gchat me at rosejasperfox@gmail, or call/text +1 646 287 2437, and if I am awake and near a communicating device I will be glad to spend some time distracting you from the unhappy parts of your brain. (When I'm not free to talk, I turn my communicating devices off, so you do not ever need to worry that you're interrupting me or imposing on me by calling/texting/IMing; if I'm on IM or my phone is on I am by definition free to talk.)

I wish there was some way to help!!! I am quite far away from you. I can tell you I am thinking about you and I look forward to hearing about your painting and what Linnea is going to do tomorrow and what Emer is going to say about it and what a sweet baby Astrid is. I look forward to your next poem. I wonder if you're going to have nice weather tomorrow and could possibly go for a walk. I hope you have something to eat that is comforting and tastes good and that the sounds your house makes when everyone is quiet are reassuring. I hope Rob tells you something funny and it makes you think of something else funny and you get to laugh twice. I hope I meet you someday for real. :)
