It will always be the year I had a baby in my home, big sisters in the birthing pool, honey on a spoon, cups of tea going cold while I roared and swore the baby out. It will always be the year I held on tight to Rob, and he lifted me and took my weight and stayed awake too long. It will always be the year my friends came round and talked to me while I breathed through contractions, when I learned what my body does without medical distraction.
