The day so far

Got out of bed by 6:30, curled up on sofa until I could face the manky kitchen
Cooked breakfast
Emptied and refilled dishwasher
Rinsed a load of laundry, hung it
Took down dry laundry
Washed another load of laundry
Unblocked toilet
Did actual formal workbook-type maths with the children
Replaced the rug I washed over the weekend; so much love for the new washing machine, which can take a whole rug. It was very much a post-party rug.
Turned the lights on the Christmas tree
Helped Emer with the advent calendar (she donated a bulldog clip!)
Listened to Linnea reading Emer a story, with lots of commentary, questions, and explaining
Fed and rocked Astrid - she's crying much more the last two days, either a headache from diving out of the buggy onto a tiled floor, or teething.

Next up, make lunch

Poor Astrid! I worry that Sophie will succeed in diving onto the floor one of these days - she can't crawl yet but she reckons she can fly.
