At last, snow.

Now I will get up and get moving. So far, I've looked at the laundry and laid out the rugs in the living room. And had a flask of coffee, thank you Rob, these insulated mug flask things were possibly our best parenting decision yet.

09:00
Had shower
Made breakfast
Set nappies to wash
Unblocked toilet

10:00
Sorted dry laundry
Took another load off the drying rack, rehung damp stuff
Fed, changed and dressed Astrid

10:50
Emptied and refilled dishwasher
Put away dry laundry which lives downstairs
Put load of washed-yesterday but not hung to dry laundry on to rinse
Phoned library about charity toy collection

Today's advent toys: Linnea added a plush Rockit The Postfrog to the give away pile, and got a Lego sword-wielding person in the calendar.

I'm semi-regretful that I left the house. But I'm at work now... I'll keep an eye on the weather and if it's still snowing in a couple of hours I think I will take the car (and myself +1!) home. Tomorrow apparently will be icy :\

I'm loving your Advent calendar / giveaway deal.

And I'm also noticing that the thought of O and F doing something similar makes me nervous - because what if they picked things to give away that they later stormily regretted? Or picked some things that I'm sentimental about? Hmmmm. Interesting.

I've failed to get Charles's advent calendar sorted yet (oops) so I find myself wondering if there's time to bring up giving things away as well.

He did set aside about 10 battered old cars just last weekend, but really they are recycling/bin only condition.

Maybe we can talk about it this evening.

Actually, O is well into helping the less fortunate at the moment - having picked up that the country is in serious economic trouble.

For once, though, I'm talking about my giveaway issues, rather than theirs! And thinking about Modelling. Yes.

Remembering our bring & buy sale for Oxfam in 2003, and what an eye-opener it was when everyone turned up with great stuff for sale ... except my parents, who sent over a couple of large baskets full of, essentially, rubbish.

Passing on things before they're utterly worn out is a very new skill for me. Maybe younger than O, even.
