Emer opened the Lego advent calendar and got a little snowman, which she constructed in my bed.

Linnea chose a toy to give to charity - her boy-frog toy (from the Princess and Frog Disney thing).

Edit: Turned the heating on at 2pm but to dry laundry, not because it was cold.

Hung nappy laundry
Sorted more loads of dirty to go on
Put one of yesterday's washed loads on to rinse because it wasn't hung yesterday
Made my own bed

11 am Put another load to rinse, started another one, started hanging that one, fed Astrid to sleep. Emptied and refilled dishwasher.

After 6pm
Tidied both ground floor rooms and front hall, including rearranging rugs so more of the floor is covered. Emptied and refilled dishwasher - where does it all come from?

Found a table for the Christmas tree - this one used to belong to Jan - and the buck of sand to stand the tree in. The bucket was full of rainwater. Frozen. Brought it into the bathroom to thaw. Got everyone ready to go out. Fetched home a Christmas tree in the buggy, Astrid in the sling. Put the children in front of a DVD. Heated up dinner. Finished online Christmas shopping. Did online budgeting. Took phonecall from doctor; need to collect another sample from Astrid as the first one showed possible infection or contamination.

Is this an advent toy donation thing you are doing? If so what a wonderful idea!

I may have to steal that idea for future use, seems a great way to declutter right before the next wave of clutter arrives. Also a good life lesson, I come from a family of hoarders and regular decluttering is a skill I needed to learn.

Toy donation & advent is an AWESOME IDEA! After spending the weekend at the in-laws with floor to ceiling, wall to wall toys, I turned to Rob and said, "Please let this not happen to us! Please make sure we get rid of some of the old stuff at least!"

Also, LEGO ADVENT CALENDAR? From whence are such things found?!
