"Here's some tea, some pizza, and some Alone." - Rob, about 7pm.
I have to spend part of this evening hammering our budgeting spreadsheet again. Things are still vague and unsettled with the new job, but transport cost has become clear, I think, so we can work with that.
Also, I'm hoping to make a No-Sew Babywearing Poncho and a muff for the buggy handle, and to that end I climbed into the loft (using the new loft-hatch and loft-ladder which I can open and pull down with a key on a special hook, just as we planned 7 years ago this month, my god seven years, oh well at least it's done, I bet we notice the difference in our heating bills) and dug my way through to the sack of polyester fleece. I also found our sheepskin rug and I think the children are ok enough with not eating in the front room to make it worth risking having that out now. It was a gift from Mormor; she practically knew the sheep personally.
So we'll be warmer.
Then I need to wrap. The bloody. Christmas presents for all the little cousins. I have them here in a box, and the paper and ribbons beside them. With any luck Rob will be able to wrap them for me instead, I would prefer that.
I've lost my glasses. Again.
But Rob has put the children to bed without walloping them, which I'm not sure I could have managed.
