It's high noon!
Jun. 3rd, 2009 12:06 pmSo my children are busily washing their sunscreen off in the paddling pool. We were supposed to go out this morning but they found it hard to stay still enough for sunscreen so we'll have to go out this afternoon instead, after the worst of the sun has passed. By about ten thirty it's too sunny for Emer to be out much at all, without getting her rash.
Still, the paddling pool is in the shade.
I've salted it. When we get back from holiday I'll investigate some sort of home swimming pool type treatment because I'd rather be using rainwater and reliable chemicals than tapwater and salt.
Last night Rob and I assembled a lot of the camping packing. I have yet to assemble the clothes and pyjamas and so on, but the camping kit is pretty much sorted now. We seem to be travelling with a luggage trolley, two rucksacks, an Ikea bag, and a buggy. If it's too much, the contents of the Ikea bag can be strapped to the outside of the rucksacks.
And Linnea has said she'll carry her own sleeping bag, but I frankly doubt it.
