Got up, had shower, brushed teeth
Turned off central heating, shouldn't have been on all night!
Cleared kitchen counter so I could mix porridge - this included making space in the fridge for the meat and onions left out overnight, in case I decided they were somehow salvagable
Mixed porridge, set it in microwave
Went upstairs again, got dressed
Opened a bunch of windows
Also forgot: stood on a chair to fix two curtain rings back onto the top of the curtain so they open and close properly again; we really must buy a curtain rail and some proper fixings and some linings
Served Emer's breakfast
Talked Linnea through getting dressed, doing teeth
Emptied dishwasher
Stirred and re-microwaved porridge
Packed nappy bag
Found snacks for outing
Served Linnea's and my porridge
Astrid woke up and Emer, who had finished her cereal, went up to amuse her
Inhaled my own porridge, scalding the back of my throat slightly
Gathered Astrid up
Changed Astrid's nappy while talking Emer through brushing teeth, getting dressed
Brushed Linnea's hair
Hung some nappies to dry while we're out
Brushed Emer's hair
Got girls' coats on
Left house, putting kitchen bin out on the way
Went to post office, got cash out
Caught bus, using cash
Walked just under a mile from bus-stop to home ed gathering
Spent three hours there
Phoned the police to report my stolen wallet and get a crime number so I can replace the library cards
Walked back to bus-stop
Caught bus
Went home
Served beans on toast to everyone
Sewed elastic (climbed on chair to fetch haberdashery box down) to the children's gloves (sorted out the Big Box of Bags, Gloves, Hats, Raingear and Cycling Clothes so that I found their gloves; also, the winter hats are on top and the sunhats underneath, now) and threaded them through one sleeve, through the hanging loop at the back of the neck inside the collar, and through the other sleeve, so they shouldn't get lost OR wrapped around anyone's neck.
Started reheating meat and onions, thought better of it
Scrubbed potatoes for baking
Cut rashers into strips and sautéd with cabbage and olive oil and black pepper
Stuck it all in the oven to wait for Rob
Unpacked grocery shopping from last night
Cleared and wiped dining table ready for dinner

Somewhere in all that, fed Astrid a few times, rocked her to sleep a few times, cleaned children up after runny tummies, etc. Also acorn collecting and so on.

Things I forgot: set the timer on the central heating so it can come on in the mornings for Rob and the children when they wake, though I didn't set it to come *on* at the timer settings, if you see what I mean.

Yet to do:

Print more photos
Put photos in envelopes and address them for my family
Put something unmentionable in an envelope to send to [livejournal.com profile] radegund

Scan at least four children's artworks and email them to Radz
Plan tomorrow's dinner
Sort children's clothes - it's time for shorts to go in the attic
Repack nappy bag
Seriously consider a bag organiser for my phone, wallet, railcard wallet, buscard wallet, keys, pens, etc etc etc et bloody c. (Does anyone else pronounce etc "etcet"? just me? oh) because I can't cope with staying organised the way I am and a bag organiser I could remove from my bag and stand on the dining table would help HUGELY. It's my birthday soon, I could have one, surely?
Talk myself out of buying sandwich wrappers at £4 each when we hardly ever have sandwiches.
Pack a lunch for tomorrow, if possible including something to share for mildly celebratory event at tomorrow's home ed group, but that might not be possible
Clear homeschool table including sorting through artworks Rob cleared it
Clear children's corner table including sorting through artworks

When I was little and had not yet realised the link between the written word "etc" and the spoken word "etcetera", I pronounced it "ettic".

I am always so in awe of the sheer amount of stuff you get done in a day.

You are brilliant! I had a mid-year review at work today. They focus on things we are good at and things we want to do more of. I think you should get to sit down with someone who tells you how excellent you are st all the stuff you do all day and that you're doing just fine and it's all very good and helpful. :)
