My first baby slept happily in busy areas until she got old enough to decide she liked people better than sleep. Since then, unless she's sick, she will only fall asleep if there isn't anyone around to talk to. My second would only sleep on Mama for the first ten months or so, though it didn't matter in the slightest where Mama was or what was going on around her. After that, he's been comfortable falling asleep anywhere.
