What I did today:

Fimo with the children
Bikes with the children
Maths with the children
Reading with the children
Polished Linnea's shoes with the children
Got everyone dressed & hair brushed
Did that again for Girls' Brigade
Cooked dinner and got it into everyone in time
Hung nappies
Put a basketful of clean children's laundry in wardrobes and drawers
Tidied half the children's room with the children
Emptied and refilled the dishwasher
Sorted clean laundry for putting away with the children
While children at GB, bought screen wipes to deal with my encrusted laptop screen
Drank plenty
My sore throat, backache and burgeoning UTI didn't get any worse, and nor did this possibly-a-period-but-who-knows
I stayed just on the right side of decent behaviour with the children but only just - and I don't mean good behaviour, I mean not dreadful
A few parcels we've been waiting for were delivered

Astrid is teething and can almost roll over, if only her lower arm would sort itself out. That lower arm is always the trick. Meanwhile she can almost bite through my knuckle and is developing a sore spot on her chin from the drool. But she's also waking and sleeping in mainly 45-90 minute chunks so it's nice and predictable at the moment.

You are good. You are doing a lot of work. You are not well and you are not rested enough: those are things you would take into consideration when judging someone else, right?

Not dreadful is plenty good enough. Especially when fimo, reading, maths, bikes etc, etc is involved. How much time would they actually have to reflect on your shortcomings? It's your hormone demons again, not you.
