ailbheWoke painfully engorged, possibly with a blocked duct starting. Guests left. Took in line-dried nappies. Ignored dead robin on the path. Dressed all four of us, got us to Meeting with something from the freezer for Shared Lunch. Started my first postnatal period. Meeting and lunch were lovely. Lost my wallet. Had horrible loss of control including dizzy spell and a hurt Linnea, apologised, went home with another family to have tea and recover. Came home, cooked sausages and beans, emptied and refilled dishwasher, hung wet nappies to dry, took out bathroom and kitchen bins, phoned banks to cancel cards, washed and hung a load of towels, assembled a load of clothing (still washing), had videochat with Rob, gave everyone biscuits and hot chocolate for supper. Now the children are doing a workbook before bed.
Next up: brush everyone's teeth, supervise pyjamas, bedtime story. Empty dishwasher again. Wash today's nappies. Clear dining table, strip spare beds and re-sofa the double. Sweep floors downstairs. Go to bed with a peanut-butter sandwich and a book.
22:32 - children were in bed with clean teeth and two stories by 21:15. Emptied, rinsed and refilled dishwasher. Put nappies on to wash. Pushed table back against the wall; guests all gone :( but did not clean up honey lake. Hung laundered clothes - the new airer takes a towel load, a nappy load and a clothes load all at the same time. Partially cleared both kitchen counters. Washed grill-pan which was full of pig fat. Stripped sheets off spare room bed and re-sofa'd it but did not strip duvet cover etc or upper bunk; maybe tomorrow? Have not really cleared dining table, either.
I am now eating chocolate and feeding Astrid. I will try to clear the table properly before I go to bed but the floors will have to wait :(

Date: 2010-09-26 11:25 pm (UTC)I want one of those!!! My outdoor clothes-line only takes 1.5 loads - it's shorter than the one we had in the city.
Actually what I really want is the kind of airer that hangs from the ceiling on a pully that can be lowered to in front of our woodstove.
