9 days old and we went to Meeting, then to lunch at the Picnic Café, then we looked at the new Eclectic Games venue, and finally we bought a nappy stacker in Mothercare and came home on the bus.

I'm tired and have had a few dizzy spells but am basically ok, and it was lovely to get out of the house.

Astrid is in cloth nappies for the first time since birth. It's a little disconcerting - one grows accustomed to being able to smell a wet or dirty nappy very quickly, and cloth doesn't smell anything like as strongly as disposables, even eco-friendly disposables, so she wasn't changed as often as I think she might otherwise have been.

She's about to outgrow the Newborn size. We'll send them on to a smaller baby (good up to 10lb).

Glad things are going so well - and that it's alright to still be dizzy and a bit worn out, you did baby gestating and stuffs :) Hope you start to regain more spoons and mobility for out of housing more and more.

NINE DAYS OLD? I would have guessed three or four at most. Enjoy her infancy, it passes so quickly.

Yeah, it really makes me wonder what the heck they add to them. We didn't notice the smell until we switched to disposables for a few days after weeks on cloth. "Gee, what have you given her? She smells!!"
