Emer has a cold in her chest and her eyes. And her nose, less so. Linnea has been waking hungry in the early mornings but is otherwise well. I have a thrush or throstle (I love the word throstle) and am wearing skirts, which I could do without. Today I have a BfN class and then we're going on a 2-hour train-trip to stay with the in-laws overnight.

I really hope Emer's up to it. Still, at least it's not a car trip, she said, clutching at straws.

And we can give them their Christmas presents, and the food will be good.

But poor ole Emer is not doing very well at all. By my standards. Other kids just as unwell are regularly left at nurseries and childminders and schools, though, so perhaps I'm a bit precious.

Grnf.

(Rob had, I believe, less sleep than I did, and still made me coffee before he left for work. Last night was my turn to sleep, you see - the night before was his turn.)
