I kind of want to know where Japanese or Chinese women, or maybe teenage mothers, buy their nursing bras. Because my band size appears to be BELOW a 28 again, and yet my cup size, not so much with the eensy weensy. Also, I'm pregnant, so I want to wear SOMETHING.

I'm finding the Bravado Designs ones aren't fitting right at the moment, which is annoying. And of course because the smallest bands I can get are too big, the cup sizes are all too small, which means that either I go larger cupwise and get that to fit, in which case there is too much strap anyway and the top of the cups raches practically over my shoulder (well, up to my collarbone), or just plain too small, so the band rides up madly because the straps and cups are too small for me.

I give in. I am placing my order for a standard-issue fashion-industry body now, and I hope it's fulfilled shortly. I hear dispatch times are a real problem though.

Gosh, you're the opposite of my mum, who has a wide back and between an AA and A cup depending on hormones and things. There isn't a lot out there. I end up wearing a 34C because the choice in 32Ds that I can afford tends to be small, but at least I have options.

http://www.nctshop.co.uk/Royce-Charlotte-Nursing-Bra-White/productinfo/1172W/ seems a good bet for proper large cups if you can cope with a 28 and have got above a D. There seems to be nothing below a 28 anywhere, though.

There's a clip you can put on bras if you're in that position, that pulls the two straps together to shorten them. They're usually used for jogging and things like that.

Don't know if that's any help.

Oh, opposite of mine then, mine hang really low, so they look like they sag but don't and I've narrow slopey shoulders so if I slacken the straps they fall off. I'm dreading what might happen in pregnancy - if they're like my nana's, which superficially they are, they'll be enormous AND by my knees.

If only bras were easy to engineer/sew. Must be easier than shoes, though. There should be some sort of cottage industry in relatively inexpensively hand-making underwear for awkward shapes, given that making alterations isn't really possible beyond a bit of pinning. Perhaps some of the gothy corsetmakers could be pressed into such a service. Hmm.

Hrmm. You are sounding like your torso is quite wide and flat for your side. I would probably buy 28 band size and take small tucks in the band until it shrinks to your satisfaction.

It's not a great answer, and I'll let you know if I ever see anything in a 26, but there isn't the call for it yet because most women who need a 26 are either in a 30 and have small breasts so don't care, or don't habitually wear bras :(

www.bodywise.com.au - comfortable, sensible, USEFUL. They do normal, sports and nursing. Mum is really small and they have ones that fit her. I just bought a pile as well and with the exchange rate you should get a decent deal.

Forgot to add, if you email them with what your sizes are they are very good at helping you work out which ones will fit. Their exchange policy is excellent as well.
