Vague assemblage
Nov. 26th, 2007 09:10 pmThings Rob can sleep through:
Babies crying
Babies vomiting
Babies vomiting on him
His own snoring
Being asked to stop snoring
Being prodded gently in the arm to roll over and stop snoring
Being kicked violently in the shins to roll over and stop snoring
People shouting in the street outside
People screaming in the street outside
People repeatedly knocking on the door next door outside
The doorbell ringing inside our own house
The alarm clock ringing inside his own bedroom
A hurricane (no, really - it took down a tree outside his house, too!)
Things which wake Rob:
Having his nose held so he can't breathe (gentlest reliable method discovered so far)
Babies laughing in their sleep
Babies talking in their sleep
Being shaken very very very hard indeed so his whole body from head to foot moves side-to-side
An alarm that sounds like a telephone
This evening I need tolaminate the housework list, update the diaries, make a fruit composte, hang all that laundry indoors to either warm up until it feels dry or dry until it feels dry, parcel up a stack of nappies, and start writing Christmas cards. Ah, and I can wrap a couple of Christmas presents, too. And work through the list of Christmas gifts. Becky, if you're reading this, I believe we ordered stuff from you - what's the status, please? (If she's not, folks, I will probably go in to the shop tomorrow while running other errands in town. I need cotton or wool tights for with my Christmas dress). I also need to stick the now charged battery in the camera and transfer photos to the laptop so I can see what we have. And do more laundry.
