I've been messing with my schedule. I've decided there's too much in it. So now I have Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings unscheduled, and Monday and Thursday afternoons.

If I ever get around to registering Emer with a GP and booking our postnatal appointment, I will take up postnatal swimming classes at the local pool on Tuesday mornings, which means Linnea and Emer in the creche and me in the pool all on my own. And then me in the pool with Linnea while Emer is either still in the creche or sitting at the poolside or in the pool with us, which might mean we only have one lesson ever, you never know.

I also need to think about my not-a-tupperware party. Fiona-the-midwife about whom you all know so much is a rep for an aromatherapy products company and she gave me one of her catalogues and there's lots of stuff in it I intend to buy, for Christmas presents and so on. Massage oils, essential oils, bases for making up your own bath products, and lots of pre-blended stuff, and some gift sets. It occurred to me that other people might enjoy attending a party where they got to sample things, and since I am going to buy stuff, no-one else has to. Is this a hideous idea? the whole parties-for-selling-things sits very badly with me, but I actually thinnk it might be enjoyable. I know a few people around during the day and Fiona likes babies and toddlers and it could be fun. Tea and cake and lavender oil.

Laundry is becoming an issue. However, I am reaching the point where I actually can heft baskets of wet laundry around, so it will be under control soon.

I've started charting Emer's sleep times so I have some idea what I've got to work with. Knowing ahead of time when it's possible to give Linnea a bath or do a big clear-up and tidy or whatever.

And someone is coming round in the next few days to try a couple of slings and baby carriers.

I need to post about Friday - ERAPA, new computer - and Saturday - found a coat - and Sunday - stayed in bed all morning cluster-feeding and being puked on. There's a growth spurt coming.

I've been to a Magic Chef party and one for some clothing brand or other and enjoyed them both very much. Since you think this one would be enjoyable, go for it!

I don't think parties are cheeky. I enjoy them :) I've been to tupperware, some skincare or other, some clothes or other & ann summers over the years. I'm even actually planning my own Avon Christmas gifts party today, which I intend to be fun, with no pressure to buy.

I have Thursday morningas always scheduled to be at home. This started off as I have my Avon delivery every third thursday & then I worked out that I enjoyed that morning & actually get a lot done as there's no reason to have to go anywhere until 12.45 pm when I take Kate to nursery. I try to always leave Thursday mornings free now & not make any appointments etc for that time.

The party sounds fun - I'd go (well I would if it wasn't going to be a party with babies and toddlers around anyway). I really enjoyed the Ann Summers party I went to, despite initial misgivings. I now think parties-for-selling-things are okay providing that everyone knows that's what it is, and that they know that buying stuff is optional.

And I'm vaguely interested in this company for christmas present purposes now. Making your own bath stuff sounds like fun.

I've been to an aromatherapy party and had a lovely time. And bought stuff. But it's important that the people you invite know it's a selling party.

And I'd give my right arm* to go to a Tupperware party.

*Okay, little toe, I'm not /that/ desperate.
